Who controls your data

PixelArc Ventures Ltd (trading as SalaryRight) is the data controller for the personal data you provide. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

What we collect

During the free analysis:

your name and email;
your role, company, and location;
your current and offered compensation;
optionally, an uploaded offer letter and any leverage notes.

If you take the paid service, we also process:

payment data (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details);
the emails, drafts, and recruiter messages exchanged during your negotiation;
your final outcome.

We do not collect special-category data (such as health, race, or religion). SalaryRight is for adults (18+) only.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

To deliver the service you signed up for — contractual necessity.
To send occasional product emails — legitimate interest, with an easy opt-out.
To feature an anonymised version of your case — only with your explicit, opt-in consent.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in Google Cloud's London region (europe-west2). Some of our processors are based outside the UK/EU; those transfers are covered by the UK-US Data Bridge or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Who processes data for us

Google Cloud — app data, files, and logs (London).
Firebase (Google) — sign-in and notifications (EU).
Google Gemini — agent prompts, which may include your case details (multi-region).
Stripe — payment data (US / Ireland).
Resend — transactional email (EU / US).
Sentry — error logs (EU).
PostHog — product analytics (EU).
Cloudflare — DNS and security (edge).

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, object to marketing, or ask us to restrict processing. Use Account → Privacy in the app to download or delete your data, or email us. We action erasure requests within 30 days. If you're in California, the CCPA gives you equivalent rights, which the same controls cover.

How long we keep it

Active customer data: for the duration of your relationship with us plus 6 years (UK limitation period).
Inactive accounts: deleted after 12 months of inactivity, following notice and a 30-day grace period.
Payment records: 6 years (HMRC requirement).
Anonymised, aggregate data: kept indefinitely (it contains no personal data).
